PowerPoint Love!

Paula Clouse, a friend of Deb & Tom's who is involved with missions at Grace Community Church, forwarded the following cool PowerPoint slide along with an explanatory note. It asks folks to visit Loving Deb Smith. Perhaps this effort will inspire others like it. If anyone wants to use this slide themselves, please e-mail Loving Deb Smith, to receive a modified version that includes a bit of explanation about Deb's illness and asks folks to check out this blog for ways they can help Deb, Tom, and the family. Thanks so much, Paula.

I submit to you the attached slide. I created it for our morning worship service...the dance team is going to minister during the call to worship, we thought it'd be an appropriate time for a word about Deb. She was always very supportive of those seeking to artistically worship.

Blessings,
Paula

Hi Deb,
Just a note to tell you that you were missed, thought of, spoken of, and prayed for at Grace Community Church this morning! The dance team gave an offering of worship to the song by Avalon, "You Were There":

I wonder how it must have felt
When David stood to face Goliath on a hill
I imagine that he shook with all his might
Until You took his hand, and held on tight

'Cause You were there, You were there
In the midst of danger's snare
You were there, You were there always
You were there when the hardest fight
Seemed so out of reach
Oh, You were there, You were always there
You were always there

So there he stood upon that hill
Abraham with knife in hand was poised to kill
But God in all his sovereignty had bigger plans
And just in time, You brought a lamb

'Cause You were there,
You were there
In the midst of the unclear
You were there, you were there always
You were there when obedience
Seemed to not make sense
You were there, You were always there
You were always there

So haven't I learned that my ways
Aren't as high as Yours are
And You alone keep the universe
From crumbling into dust
You are God and though we would
Not have understood You
There You were

Hanging blameless on a cross
You would rather die than leave us in the dark
Every moment, every planned coincidence
Just all makes sense
With Your last breath

You were there, You were there
During history's darkest hour
You were there, You were there always
You were the Victor and the King
You were the power in David's swing
You were the calm in Abraham
You are the God who understands
You are the strength when we have none
You are the living, Holy one
You were, You are and You will always be
the Risen Lamb of God

You were, You are and You will always be
The Risen Lamb of God

The praise team sang the song, "More of You, Less of Me" today...I have always thought that you are one of the best examples of John 3:30 I've ever had the privilege to know.

"He must increase, I must decrease." I feel that this was/is the motivating force behind the spirituality of Deb Smith!

I will be fasting on your behalf this week...may God be glorified!

Because of Grace,
Paula

"Surely then you will lift up your face without blemish; you will be secure, and will not fear. You will FORGET your misery; you will remember it as waters that have passed away. And your LIFE will be brighter than the noonday; its darkness will be like the morning. And you will have confidence, because there is HOPE!! You will be PROTECTED and take your rest in safety. You will lie down, and NONE will make you afraid; many will entreat your favor!! (Job 11: 15-19)

"Finally brethen, whatsoever things are TRUE, whatsoever things are JUST, whatsoever things are PURE, whatsoever things are LOVELY, whatsoever things are of GOOD REPORT, if there be any virtue if there be any praise, think on these things." (Phil. 4:8)

"I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore CHOOSE LIFE that both you and your descendants may LIVE..." (Deut. 30:19)

"Who Himself bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might life for righteousness, by whose stripes YOU WERE HEALED!!!
(1Peter 3:14)

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue..." (Prov. 18:21)

WE SPEAK LIFE, IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME, TO THIS SITUATION!!!

"NOW FAITH IS THE SUBSTANCE OF THINGS HOPED FOR, THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS NOT SEEN." (Heb. 11:1)

We hold strong to our faith, believing in what we don't yet see!! Until that day when we WILL see the manifestation of healing!!!! And we will dance before the Lord in celebration!!! And God will be Glorified!!!!!

I heard about a word spoken by Sister Rae Gill from the Lord saying, "I TERMINATE THE TERMINAL!!"

AMEN, AMEN, AMEN!!!!!!

Standing with you in prayer and faith!!!!
